Ethiopia’s coffee farmers have been disconnected from the world for many years, restricted in how and who they can sell their coffee to. Rural farmers in the village of Konga had no choice but to sell their coffee beans into the highly-regulated system at low prices.
When the industry leaders began allowing buyers to work directly with small family farms in 2017, Boledu, an exporting company, rewrote the rules for the farmers they partnered with. By training farmers to produce higher-quality coffee and sell it at higher prices, Boledu supports long-term business sustainability and invites them into the greater coffee industry.

Ethiopia
Known as the birthplace of coffee, Ethiopia’s natural coffee forests produce the most diverse and fascinating coffees in the world. There are thousands of wild and undocumented heirloom coffee plant varieties in Ethiopia, along with little-known varieties—like the plant that grew this coffee!
The country has traditionally been divided up into five overly-simplistic coffee growing regions: Lekempti, Jimma, Limmu, Sidamo, and Yirgacheffe. But now that farmers can sell directly to buyers, the international coffee community is waking up to the magnificent diversity of coffee found around the country. 

We roast and ship coffee to order Monday through Friday, and orders placed before 12 pm EST will ship that same day! 

JavaPresse never holds inventory in a warehouse. Our beans are always roasted and shipped within two hours to ensure that when your beans arrive, they're as fresh and flavorful as they could possibly be.
